After deciding to take a year off of school and transfer universities, Isaac decided to get on his hometown congressional campaign in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Within three months, Isaac was promoted to oversee digital communications on one of the most high-profile races in the 2022 midterm elections. After a successful campaign, Isaac went on to manage the congressional transition for an incoming member of Congress and serve as the youngest Director of Communications in the history of the United States Congress.
He built a congressional communications program from the ground up, securing dozens of media hits in publications like the New York Times, Washington Post, CNN, Forbes, and 19th News.
When the gap year concluded, Isaac transferred to Washington University in St. Louis to finish his undergraduate studies.
